You can place a buffer before or after the pedal without compromising your tone, generate vintage Fuzz tones that cut right through the mix (fuzzes typically get lost in the mix), realize the full sweep of your wah pedal with Dynamic Distortion set for Fuzz (not possible with vintage fuzzes), and nail the ideal midrange Overdrive tone with gobs of deliciously fat bottom end and note bloom. With the Thin/Fat knob, the Dynamic Distortion circuit serves up a potpourri of tones ranging from a ginormous British 4 x 12 sound to a trebly Rat-style distortion.
