Seymour Duncan SH-8b Invader 7-String Active Mount Humbucker Pickup 11102-31-A
High output with a huge, unapologetic sound, the 7-String Invader bridge delivers crushing metal tone for extended range guitars.
Installing an Invader changes your guitars DNA. No matter how dangerous your stock pickup claims to be, the Invader will transform any guitar into the mean, heavy sounding beast you always knew it could be. The Invaders power comes from the combination of specially overwound coils and three large ceramic magnets, along with its striking oversized metal oxide pole pieces. These expand the overall magnetic field and widen the frequency spectrum, which is why every note played through an Invader sounds so rich. It delivers the thickest, and deepest, low end response of any passive pickup we make. Chords sound deep and almost subsonic with lower tunings, and balance nicely with the crunchy treble that keeps everything well defined. This passive humbucker comes with a black soapbar cover with one row of exposed poles for a modern active look and is a quick retrofit into any guitar with an active rout. It is also available with standard open-coils, or with a black metal humbucker cover, both in a classic passive mount to easily fit in any guitar with that traditional routing.Match with the Invader 7-String neck model for a massive sounding high-output setup. Hand built in our Santa Barbara, CA factory, the Invader uses a three large ceramic bar magnets, oversized metal oxide poles, nickel silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance.
