The SKB-MX1 provides total enclosure for many of today's popular mixers. "Many of today's popular mixers such as the Behringer PMH2000, the Mackie PPM series and the Yamaha EMX series offer plastic skeletal support, but without full enclosure," stated SKB Product Manager, Steph Maffei. "We were approached by numerous dealers to offer a carrying bag, as they had many customers asking for something they could use to safely transport the mixers alleviating concerns of damaging the units. We responded with these two mixer bags, which protect otherwise exposed areas.

A mixed bag...

I've had an SKB guitar case for about 20 years that has been fantastic. I can't say the same about this mixer bag. The zipper pulls are total garbage. One had broken off even before I opened the package. Another fell off after 5cm of travel. Total junk. There's no way they will hold up to being loaded and unloaded for gigs. I cut the other two off and replaced all four with paracord. It's a real tight squeeze to get my Mackie PPM 808S to fit in the bag. I'm hoping it will stretch a little over time and that doesn't put too much strain on the zippers. The general construction of the bag seems solid though.
