Whether just starting out or looking to level up, our lessons are fun, welcoming, and tailored to your style. You'll jam with real musicians, get confident fast, and maybe even form your own band!

Private Drum Lessons:

In 2025 Angkor Music have started a collaboration with well know Australian drummer Roby Corelli. With Roby's vast experience Angkor Music are delivering the best quality drum lessons available anywhere. Roby has written several drum study books and is able to give drumming education to the novice student through to the most advanced skilled drummers wanting to refine their drumming - View Roby's bio here.

Studies Covered:

Groove studies, timing, hand technique, stick control, sight reading, co-ordination, syncopation studies, rudiments, posture, hi-hat foot independence, secondary sounds & the two-tone technique, snare drum ghosted notes, chart reading, double bass drum, all styles, tuning, recording techniques, fills & soloing, VCE music - CPM & Rockschool exam preparation, auditioning for tertiary music education preparation, and music theory if required to help students pass music lessons at school.

Private Piano Lessons:

In 2026, Angkor Music began a collaboration with Australian pianist Braydon Magee. Braydon has extensive experience working with primary and secondary students to provide quality mentorship in music performance, theory and composition. Having performed in rock and jazz ensembles, his expertise covers a broad range of musical techniques, styles and genres. Braydon's dynamic approach to piano teaching not only enhances technique for both emerging and advanced pianists, but fosters a deep appreciation for music through creative exploration and experimentation.

Studies Covered:

Hand and finger placement, scales, arpeggios, articulation, dynamics, phrasing, rhythm, pitch, chords (triads/inversions), chord progressions, reading sheet music, ear training, contemporary repertoire, VCE music, exam and audition preparation, composition and music theory.

Scheduling & Booking:

Lessons times: 30-minute and 60-minute lessons are available.
Priority Booking: Priority booking for reliable students with consistent lesson times.
Regular Slots: Students are assigned a specific weekly or bi-weekly time slot.
Multiple Lesson Packages: Packages are offered in multiple of 4 lessons.

Cancellations & Absences:

Advance Notice: 24 notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling.
Missed Lessons: Missed lessons without proper notice may be forfeited, with no refunds or make-up lessons offered.
Illness: Make-up lessons or credits may be offered for lessons missed due to illness, provided sufficient notice is given.
Teacher Absences: If a teacher is absent, a substitute teacher may be provided, or the lesson may be rescheduled or credited.

Payments:

Advance Payment: Payment for lessons are required in advance, 4 lesson for a set period paid monthly.
Payment Methods: Payments are made in store at the front counter.
Late Payments: Late payments may result in lessons being placed on hold.
Refunds: Refund for missed lessons are generally not offered, but exceptions may be made for specific circumstances.

Materials:

Drum students require to bring drumsticks and appropriate books to each lesson.
Piano students require to bring appropriate books and sheet music to each lesson. All pianos and equipment provided.
