What happened when we shrunk our new Organic Pro Performer series down to a Concertina (our version of the parlor) body shape? Only good things. This guitar offers everything you want from a professional grade, all solid body guitar in a small, powerful package. With 12 frets to the body, the Performer Pro Concertina CE produces a unique, inviting tone, with the bridge sitting right on the European spruce top’s sweet spot. A short scale and soft cutaway open up every fret, whether bending the blues, shaking a wicked vibrato, or simply singing your favorite song from Spotify. Working musicians love the Performer Pro’s killer combination of classic spruce and mahogany tone, with beautifully understated looks. When plugged in, the Fishman Flex T-Plus electronics, capture true acoustic sound and allow you to make this small bodied guitar sound as big as you like.

Made from sustainably-sourced exotic and native tonewoods. No clear-cut trees are used in these instruments. Breedlove uses salvaged and individually harvested timber and has deep relationships with responsible suppliers around the globe. As we move towards sustainability across all lines, owner Tom Bedell has visited 15 countries to discover exactly where the wood comes from, how it is selected and harvested, and how this affects the wildlife, the community, the forest and the planet.

Every USA made Breedlove guitar gets hand-voiced by one of our builders in Bend, Oregon. These craftspeople achieve sonic perfection by meticulously shaping each instrument’s internal bracing. But, we’re not just artists and artisans, we’re guitar geeks. We keep meticulous records—every refinement, every change, every delicate curl of wood off the chisel gets logged in our database.
We used all that combined knowledge and experience to answer a simple question: “How can we make our accessible, production guitars sound even closer to the showpieces from our Custom Shop?” The answer? Cascade Bracing.

EUROPEAN SPRUCE

As a guitar top, European spruce is powerful like Adirondack, clear like Sitka, and complex and responsive like Engelmann, all of which are employed in various Breedlove guitar lines. With the Organic Pro Collection years in the making, Breedlove owner Tom Bedell literally climbed a mountain to be positive that the exotic FSC-certified tonewoods used in the assortment are harvested in responsible ways that respect the earth, while providing for superior tone that will last a lifetime. High in the windblown Swiss Alps, Bedell watched as European spruce trees were individually selected—each yielding many dozens of top sets—with an eye towards keeping the old growth stands robust for decades to come.

AFRICAN MAHOGANY

Sometimes called khaya, African mahogany has a familiar crisp, clean and warm voice and boasts an impressive versatility, taking well to fingerpicking as well as to a more robust strumming attack without losing clarity. All mahogany instruments—like the Organic Collection Wildwood Series (which features sustainably harvested wood source from the Republic of Congo) offer a natural compression that delights blues players, folkies and singer/songwriters.
