Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use this on a standard steel-string acoustic guitar?
We do not recommend it. Steel-string acoustics usually have a curved (radiused) fretboard. Using a flat classical capo on a curved fretboard will result in buzzing on the outer or inner strings because the pressure isn't even.

Does the Micro Tuner come with the capo?
No, the capo includes the mounting bracket for the tuner. The D'Addario NS Micro Tuner is sold separately.

Is this safe for traditional French Polish finishes?
While the padding is designed to be instrument-safe, high-end classical guitars often have very delicate finishes. We always recommend removing the capo when you are finished playing rather than leaving it clamped on for long periods.
