Fine German Violin circa 1900. The top is made of two piece spruce, and shows this grain lines widening towards the edges. Has a repaired saddle crack, running up under the tailpiece. The back is made from one piece highly flamed maple, the curl slightly asscending to the bass side.. The ribs, neck and scroll are from the same wood, and original to the instrument. The varnish is a golden browm, on a transparent ground.  Violin is in excellent condition

The violin has been setup and is in fine playing condition. Setup includes  a Despiau bridge and a set of Pirastro Tonica strings. The ebony pegs are older and well fitted.
