Clarinet most likely made in France, by one of the many makers, andstamped with VH Petterd Melbourne

Standard clarinet in B-flat by VH Petterd c 1950
Four sections Stamped on Upper joint, lower Joint and bell: VHPetterd Woodwind Centre Melbourne. Lower and Upper Joint with matchingserial numbers 5716. Grenadilla body; German-silver keys, rings,ferrules. Boehm system. 17 keys, 6 rings, rod/pillar mounts.
Barrelis missing.
There is a mouthpiece, Ligature and Cap
Cap Stamped France

Comes in its original case, which is sound.
Clarinet requires a complete overhaul
There are no Visible cracks in the body parts.
The keys and body rings are made from nickel silver unplated and willpolish well,
Key work and pillars are quite good. Needs repadding.

Overall will make a nice solid wood clarinet,most likely French, at a fraction of the price of a new one.
