Capture the Magic Tone of a '60s Blues Legend

In the world of guitars, there are few sounds as revered as a late '50s humbucker — but what happens if one of the magnets is reversed? Seymour Duncan’s Green Magic Humbuckers feature a flipped neck magnet to achieve an out-of-phase sound when both pickups are played simultaneously, resulting in a slightly thinner, hollow tone that’s loaded with clarity and bite. This setup was favored by one of the late '60s most famous blues guitarists who extensively used this “magic” sound in his short, but highly influential career. When the neck and bridge positions are played individually, our  guitarists find that these pickups offer a pure vintage humbucker tone, full of warmth and boasting a powerful low-end richness that's perfect for laying down some smokin' blues licks.
